and many of your arguments fly in the face of reality: Hitler repeatedly claims that christianity is nothing more than an extension of judaism and called it meek. furthermore, hitler killed millions of poles, russians, lithuanians, and fellow german christians such as dietrich bonhoeffer and countless jehovahs witnesses, try again….

Before the Nazis took power in Germany, conservative Christians were actively engaged in defending German Christian culture against the dangers of modernism, secularism, and communism. They insisted that Christianity be the basis for politics and culture; moreover, they were determined to protect society from anti-Christian influences. Does this sound familiar?

American Christians seem to be completely unaware of the degree to which Christians in Germany threw their support behind Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party. If they did, they might be less likely to pretend that the crimes of Hitler and the Nazis can be traced to atheism or secularism.

It’s popular among Christian apologists to claim that Hitler, the Nazis, and the Holocaust are all consequences of atheism, secularism, and liberalism. Such arguments fly in the face of reality: Adolf Hitler regularly proclaimed his faith in God, Nazi ideology was committed to supporting Christianity (on its terms, of course), and Nazi anti-Semitism was firmly grounded in Christian anti-Semitism.

Sam Harris is Jewish and there are plenty more sources than wikipedia demonstrate this; indeed, ive NEVER EVER once heard this so called atheist ever condemn the talmud, the jewish oral law. And if you dont believe me about the jews funding hitler, do some research on the Rothschild banking family. they’ve funded everyone from Napoleon to John Mccain

  6. lespaul588 on November 8th, 2009 5:49 pm

Of course because wikipedia is a more reliable source than books in which he explains his secular views. Jews aren’t atheists, Jews are a religious group while atheists are simply non-religious people. They can’t be the same.
And judging by your other comments you seem to think jews funded the Nazis which simply proves you have a poor understanding of history.

  7. dntmsswthme66166 on November 8th, 2009 5:49 pm

yeah, hitler loved christians so much that he murdered tens of millions of them in poland, lithuanian, russia, and even in his own germany. in mein kampf he called christianity a meek religion and nothing more than an offspring of judaism…whatever…if it wasnt for the jewish rothschilds money, hitler never would have been able to finance the war

  8. dntmsswthme66166 on November 8th, 2009 5:49 pm

no, its rather many jews are atheists. look up sam harris’ profile on wikipedia, it lists him as a jew

  9. lespaul588 on November 8th, 2009 5:49 pm

So atheists are Jews? Your just an anti-semetic idiot

  10. 123Atheist on November 8th, 2009 5:49 pm

Also Hitler had better weapons and more peole to kill as opposed to Moses who only had swords and spears. The world is also much smaller now.

Hitler and the Nazis are often cited as an example of the horrible crimes which atheists have committed in the 20th century. They are only assumed to be atheists, it seems, because people can’t imagine Christians doing such things – but the fact is that Hitler explicitly appealed to Christianity on a regular basis and this was part of why he was popular.

Just about everyone is aware of the deep and destructive anti-Semitism which characterized Nazi Germany. Many forget the deep and destructive involvement of German Christians in this anti-Semitism – including the Holocaust. One might imagine that after the truth about what happened was revealed, Christians would have repented; unfortunately, things didn’t work out quite that well.

  13. dntmsswthme66166 on November 8th, 2009 5:49 pm

no, im not going to stop calling him a jew. because that is what he is. that jew really goes out of his way to hide his background, he even was mumbling and fumbling when he was on bill maher’s show. jews are the worst liars ever, but there are always goy like you that fall for their tricks and lies. GO ahead, maybe invest some cash in bernie madoff’s ponzi schemes or believe larry silversteins story about conveniently buying an insurance policy on the twin towers, that covered acts of terrorism

  14. ThMrksman on November 8th, 2009 5:49 pm

    riiight.
    so by your logic:
    1. Jews don’t tell the truth
    2. You say you hate Jews
    3. But jews lie, and you lie about hating jews, therefore you are a jew.
    See what i did thar?
Now stop calling Harris a jew, the only evidence you can provide is that all jews are liars, therefore he is a jew because he lied about not being a jew. You could apply that logic to ANYONE.

  15. dntmsswthme66166 on November 8th, 2009 5:49 pm

if jews actually told the truth, then yes, i’d believe that sam harris is actually an atheist. but if you look at the history of jews, they have a history of this behaviour. pretending to be this, that, and the other. do a little research on adam pearlman, maybe fools actualyl believe he’s a muslim, but the truth came out he is a jew. the adl in the 1930s also supported neo-nazi movements. jews are known for “false flag”incidents; its written in the protocols…and so is the spread of atheism

  16. ThMrksman on November 8th, 2009 5:49 pm

their opinion on the war in iraq/muslims/islam is quite similar yes, but Harris is equally against the dogmatism of christianity/judaism, while O’Reilly supports christians and jews.

  17. dntmsswthme66166 on November 8th, 2009 5:49 pm

how? seems to me both o’reilly and harris have more in common that you may first think; both have soft spots for israel, they both say the same thing about muslims, islam, and arabs in general. both supported the war in iraq. so, if it looks like a jew, smells like a jew, and acts like a jew….its probably a jew

  18. ThMrksman on November 8th, 2009 5:49 pm

    ah i see

i didn’t consider his political involvement

having said that, if you watch the video where he talks with bill o’reilly, it is clear that, unlike bill o’reilly, he is against religion in general.
I’d say that Bill O’Reilly is MUCH more of a jew, by your standards.

  19. TheSpiaire on November 8th, 2009 5:49 pm

I think it’s because he has a soft spot for Israel and promotes bigotry against Islam as a whole.

  20. dntmsswthme66166 on November 8th, 2009 5:49 pm

funny, germany was bankrupt at that time and jewish bankers such as the rothschilds gave hitler the money to fund world war 2…..quite convenient that these jews would leave that out of the history books, dont u think?

  21. dntmsswthme66166 on November 8th, 2009 5:49 pm

i am not a christian; im an atheist

  22. ThMrksman on November 8th, 2009 5:49 pm

    lolwut

why the fuck do people call sam harris a jew?
He clearly isnt. I would go so far as to say that you are more jewish than sam harris, mr troll.

  23. qaplatlhinganmaH on November 8th, 2009 5:49 pm

The Nazi Party almost certainly wouldn’t have acquired power in Germany if it had not been for the fact that their social and cultural views meshed so well with those of conservative Christians in Germany. The Nazi Party critiqued the same things about the Weimar Republic as conservatives did. They promoted an ideological vision that almost perfectly matched what conservative Christians wanted.

  24. qaplatlhinganmaH on November 8th, 2009 5:49 pm

Witness how often conservative Christians in America complain about religious and cultural pluralism. Jews are no longer blamed for this, at least not overtly and specifically, but there are plenty of scapegoats to be found. Humanists and gays are currently very popular targets for attack by those upset that their brand of Christianity no longer dominates public discourse and cultural norms (assuming that it ever really did, at least in the manner they assume).

not really. they dont exactly pluck embryos out of pregnant women who intend to give birth.
