Because they are human beings just as yourself who got dealt a bad hand in life. There is no education system were they live and so much disease that food would only minutely prolong their short lives.
So, to answer your question, for the lulz.
a rice and soybean meal costs $0.15 to produce. If it’s a family of three that’s 0.15(3) = $0.45 a meal, breakfast lunch and dinner would make it $1.35 a day. So $3.00 would actually pay for about 2 and a half days of food for a third world family.
You believe 3 dollars can feed a family for a week? O.k. stop being a hippie and listening to those damn commercials. Im not saying i disapprove of helping poor, but if you believe that little money actually does something, your terribly mistakin’. Churchs and commercials just say that becuz IF they asked for more money NOBODY would be supportive.
